Some of you may not know this about Australia, but they have some pretty big Aussies down there. Sadly, we Americans aren’t the only ones waddling around. Australia has enough over weight people that The Biggest Loser TV Show has started its second season down there. (now someone help me here, if it’s Winter here, it’s Summer there…right…or is it the same…j/k)

I haven’t been able to find any of my sattelite channels that carry it. If anyone knows of a sattelite channel here in the states (wouldn’t that be cool to get Aussie channels!) or a website where it can be watched, please, please share it with the rest of us!

I’ve looked over a few websites about The Biggest Loser Australia, and it seems this season they’re doing it a little bit different. They still have Bob Harper and JILLIAN MICHAELS but this season they’ve added two local trainers as well.

Michelle Bridges is a former “Australia Fitness Leader of The Year” down there. Michelle is billed as a quick results type person. She is touted to use a variety of Cardio exercise and weight training to get her results. The same way that Bob, Jillian and Kim used here. That’s probably the reason Michelle was picked.

Shannan Ponton could nearly pass as a younger Bob Harper, tattoo’s and all! Shannon has been a fitness leader for 15 years and created “The Crunch Challenge” for Australia’s Foxtel network.

The host of the show is AJ Rochester. She is a reformed dieter and author of several weight loss and dieting books. She has a whole list of other accomplishments in the media. I know I’m going to get flamed for this, but I’ll say it anyway. We need to trade show host!

You have to remember that the Aussies are on the metric system. I’m totally lost when they start talking about Wal gaining 30kg’s. I have no idea how much 30kg’s are, but judging by all the upset people on the Aussie forum, it must be quite a bit.

It also seems there are a lot more leaks on the show. I saw quite a few “So and So will leave on episode xyz because of this or that.” Bummer!

I’ve watched the Season 2 trailer and I have to tell ya, it sure looks a lot more interesting than our verson does! Don’t get me wrong, ours was good, but I really want to see their Season!

Perhaps they’ll have it on DVD one day.
