| Okay, first off, I only review stuff I've tried or
stuff someone I trust has tried.
For my first review, I'm picking; The Biggest Loser Workout DVD
This was my first "workout" DVD I ever had. My wife
bought the DVD, along with the book, as one of my Christmas
presents.
I watched it from my recliner the fist time. Just flipped through
the different levels to see what it was about. You have to remember,
I'm just a Good-Ole-Boy from the South, so the thought of working
out in front of a TV in Spandex was not appealing to me.
After watching the DVD from my recliner, I was really pumped
about starting this workout! What motivated me the most was that the
people who participated in the workouts were former cast members
from The Biggest Loser. These were former fat people working out on
a video. I could relate to them because I knew that at one time,
they were overweight also.
This was a built in motivation to the DVD because every time I
worked out, I knew the cast members were where I was at one time in
their life. They were not some bunch of itty bitty tiny workout
nutzoids who'd never been overweight a day in their life.
Bob Harper made sticking with the workout fun. I watched Matt's
and Suzie amazing stories several times. Talk about motivation!
I started my workout by following the warm up program and then
going into the Cardio program followed up with the cool down/stretch
program. This last about 30 minutes. That's all I could handle at
first, and to be honest, there were times I couldn't do that! After
about month, I kicked it up to an hour workout rotating the Cardio
and Boot Camp work out one day and the Weights and Cardio the next
workout. I worked out at least 3 times a week, more if I could work
them in. There's not a doubt in my mind that working out is an
important tool in losing weight and keeping it off.
I now use a portable DVD player in my Garage to work out with. (I
don't do Spandex either, just an old T-Shirt and a pair of sweat
pants!
I can't recommend this DVD enough, especially if you're a
beginner or you need periodic motivation. If watching a bunch of
hard bodies with 5% body fat just doesn't get your motor running,
then try The Biggest Loser Workout DVD. I also recommend picking up
The Biggest Loser Book when purchasing the DVD. There's a lot of
good info for less that 30 bucks. (you can get both under 20 bucks
if you buy them used)
